The Light In The Grove: Completely unique and always a sell-out, it is attended by 700 guests and was voted best LGBT fundraiser in the Bay Area. On the eve of World AIDS Day, the National AIDS Memorial is artistically-illuminated with light displays. Guests experience a candlelight reflection at the Circle of Friends and wander reflectively through the illuminated Redwood Grove to a warmly-lit tent where they enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a buffet dinner with musical and choreographed performances.
World AIDS Day National Observance on December 1. World AIDS Day presents a time to remember those who came before us; acknowledge national leaders and unsung heroes; raise awareness about the ongoing impact of HIV/AIDS; and acknowledge emerging young leaders in the fight to end it.
The mission of the National AIDS Memorial is to provide, in perpetuity, a place of remembrance so that the lives of people who died from AIDS are not forgotten and the story is known by future generations.
About the CCC We Care Project: Our goal is to reach out into our community and extend a helping hand. Drawing from our passion for service, we will work as a team to the betterment of our neighborhoods.
